Piquant Garlic Baked Salmon

A very simple idea of pimping an ordinary baked salmon. Marinate the salmon and then bake!

Marinade ingredients (for 2 salmon fillets)

  • 2  cloves of garlic, chopped
  • Half of lemon, squeezed for juice
  • 2 small bird’s eye chillies, chopped
  • 1 tbsp over of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of course sea salt
  • Black pepper to taste

Preparation Steps

  1. Mix the above ingredients in a bowl, set aside.
  2. Wash and then pat dry the fish fillets. Set the fillets on a cling film, then pour the marinade over the fillets. Wrap the fillets up with the cling film and sit them in the fridge for an hour at least.
  3. After that, bake the fish in a foil parcel for 15 – 18 mins at 190°C. Expose the fillets in the last 5 minutes of baking time to have a brown top. Simple and piquant baked salmon done! :)

Serve the fish with a side salad made of fresh tomatoes drizzled with honey mustard dressing, topped off with chopped scallions. Refreshing!
