Compilation of Food Pics (Singapore) V

Another set of pictorial accounts of eating out (makan) sessions. I hope you are still enjoying these, for the fifth time :)

These hawker treats are from East Coast Park’s food court and Old Airport Road food court found in the east of Singapore.

Beef brisket with Flat Rice Noodles Soup, $5, East Coast Park food court.

Pink meat, but the hot soup helped to cook them further thankfully. I still prefer the Cantonese beef noodle soup found in Ipoh.

Beef with stomach lining cuts in noodle soup , $5, East Coast Park food court.

Ikan Bakar (grilled fish) in sambal paste serve on a banana leave, $10 from East Coast Park food court.

Assam Laksa,$3,from Old Airport Rd food court.Tasted quite authentic(Closed)

Penang Char Keow Tiao,$3-$5 @ Old Airport Road food court (Closed)

Well, not bad at all but the thin rice noodles used resembled Pad Thai ones, I guess that’s why the cost is kept low.

For a lip smacking good Char Keow Tiao, I recommend the $7.50++ from Penang Place (Halal) at International Business Park, Jurong East.

Chinese Egg Tart, $0.80 each from Old Airport Road food court. Easily twice the size than the one you could get from a bakery in town.

Steamed sea snails (called as Gong Gong locally, from East Coast Park food court), use a bamboo stick to pry the flesh out and then dip into the chilli belacan sauce given, gorgeous!

Steamed sea snails

That explains why I am not cooking as often as I used to. Before I finish off this post, I shall leave you with some pictures taken randomly around the house.

Piquant cili padi plant (bird's eye chillies) for cooking.

Little white flowers, so dainty.

List of Eats
