A Italian cafe concept chain based in UK has a branch in Dublin.
Sister mentioned the food here worth a try for an unpretentious fare, so, we decided to pop by for a birthday lunch.
We just returned from Paris the night before and thought to spend a half day in Dublin before heading back to parents’ home.
The above called Bicerin made of espresso, dark hot chocolate and cream! EUR 3.95
My starter was this clear mushroom soup with a dash of cream. Nice! EUR 5.90
Here was his green pea & ham soup served with warm foccacia, not bad! EUR 5.90
My bro had grilled garlic bread with melted parmesan on top, simple and nice. EUR 3.95
Here is the rich penne coated in a light stock thickened with some cream. At the bottom, there was a layer of cheesed courgette, as if this was not ‘bad’ enough, there were fried spinach balls to add crunch to the dish. It was nice and sinful …
Homemade spinach & ricotta ravioli served with sage butter, yum! EUR 11.95
Bro’s penne with spicy sausage tomato sauce, the spicy hint and combined cream in the sauce was naturally nice. EUR 11.95
I must say the portions here were huge! Come here starved!
To wash down the rich pasta dishes, the rich cappuccino EUR 3.75 did the job.
Also, the fresh mint tea EUR 2.95 was pretty nice too.
Here ends my birthday lunch!
Oh yes, they stock Italian cooking ingredients for sale at the shop.
