2011 Chinese New Year eats & see in Singapore

The Chinese New Year decor along Orchard Road.

Lou Yee Sang / Lou Hei kit bought from supermarket :)

Sweet & sticky glutinous rice cake.

Mandarin orange in Cantonese means gold!

Typical Malaysian / Singaporean pineapple tarts available during festive season.

Macarons for Chinese New Year? Not related, just another random search for sweet stuff on CNY eve. These were from Darcis (Belgium).

Some effort in making Chinese New Year meal. Above was broth with pacific clams and tofu cubes.

Below were panko fried mushroom slices. Turned out well.

Overall, a quiet Chinese New Year long weekend we had here. Not much in festive mood as family is not around.

On the bright side, did not pile on excess weight.

Wishing you a prosperous and blissful Rabbit year ahead!!
