Bebe works around CBD area, and he raved about the pies and crab bee hoon at Don Your Personal Pie Club on and off.
Since I work all the way in the west and beyond, never have I got a chance to give it a try. Not even on weekends.
The chance came when I needed to take time off to run errands at a law firm in CBD area.
Oh boy, I starved the whole morning just to have the following three items. Shared with bebe of course.
Below are the pictures pimped with the new iPhone app.
The puff pastry was crispy. And the filling was flavourful and satisfying…minced chicken with a drier gravy. It was good, just not the chunky meaty type with more juices as I have imagined.
This signature dish is a must try when you are here.
The broth was rich in crab flavour that came with chunky yam pieces too.
Tasted a hint of Chinese dried herbs. Very comforting.
I left the whole fresh and sweet crab in the end, using the nutcracker provided and sucked up all the tender white flesh. A dish to be devoured with hands.
Guess what, their cheesecake is one of the popular items too.
I chose the one with hardened chocolate layer on top. The cream cheese was light and airy with the condensed biscuit base. Not bad at all!
The shop with some of the local favourites, done right and worked out well.
I hope to come back here to try out their shepherd’s pie and cottage pie too.
