I read up on some reviews from Malaysian food blogs about this chain based on the classic Forrest Gump movie.
Before dwelling onto this topic, a pity I missed out on Thai Thai at Sunway Pyramid restaurant which also has a branch at Mandarin Gallery (Singapore).
Anyways, arriving here mid afternoon with a hungry stomach.
We could only think of a fullest meal to gorge on.
Well, you don’t find this American food chain in Singapore, and surely they come in big portions.
So, we hit it straight after a brief stroll around the mall.
Bebe ordered the cajun marinated prawns, this was the half portion already. He couldn’t finish it and had to pack away 2/3 of it.
Marinade was really flavourful and spicy (not the hot type).
The newspaper did kind of worry me about, you know the carbons. Apparently, they are not the real thing according to my ‘study’.
The fried shrimps were plump, a little flavourless. Fries were alright. Coleslaw was pretty fresh.
Sure, I needed bebe’s help to finish it up.
We also ordered a raspberry smoothie called Jenny’s Favourite (RM11.90++), it was nice just a tad sweet.
Service was sloppy, young clueless crew. Probably due to the late afternoon heat.
Interior was dim, couldn’t see my food if not for choosing the seat nearest to the entrance.
Overall, a nice meal here to satiate our hunger. However, nothing shouts at me to come back here.
