Honestly, what brought me here was a online deal site offer.
So, it was SGD15.90 nett per person for the deal customised menu consisted of soup (starter), main course and a hot beverage.
Upon reading their menu, I discovered that their brunch and snacks items are extensive and surely tempting.
Such as egg benedicts, egg florentine, white truffle salted fries and etc …
The soup was truly satisfying on the cold rainy afternoon.
Prawns and dory fish were thrown in as well, the smokiness all around couldn’t agree more.
I love how home made feel this soup was. A little gritty, not creamy, a few punches from truffle oil were nice.
Both of us went for steak from the two options, another one being Confit Chicken Leg which in retrospect I should have gone for.
I was surprised to see this main course was tagged at mere SGD13.90 ++ alone. Origin of beef – no idea.
Well, the portion was huge, 5 thick slabs of meat and a large spoonful of mashed potatoes.
This combination here was alright.
It was just lacking as we couldn’t gain any satisfaction from the smell and texture as a results of blanching as well as sous vide cooking.
I think we still prefer the good ol’ charred steak, charred or grilled vegetable sides and creamier mashed potato.
Oh yes, affordable wines are one of the features of this restaurant.
I suppose, I would be interested to try out their brunch at some stage.
