Fazed out on a Saturday afternoon while checking out 112 Katong mall, we decided to take a bus to Siglap to have tea at this newly opened patisserie.
Tucked away along a row of shops in a quaint and serene neighbour hood (walk past Pepperoni Pizzeria, and straight down),
we had a lovely quiet time here over delicious sweets.
During this time, there were only 4 choices available apart from macarons, so I picked their famous lemon meringue tart.
Thank goodness, the lemon tart wasn’t as acidly exciting as Maison Kayser one, with the beautifully beaten sweet meringue dollop atop,
that helped in balancing out the lemon tartness and brought in more deliciousness.
The velvety smooth lemon curd and a little springy meringue were a great combination.
We had a cup of large cappuccino at S$4.50, mild tasting one and not bad at all.
I must applaud the nice medium sized macaron for its bitter and thick chocolate ganache.
I hope the shells will be crunchier next time.
And oh yes, they serve two to three brunch items as well, only on Sunday.
A pity that Isaphan wasn’t available on this very Saturday, so, I am keen to be back to try that next.
