Hediard Macaron of the month (SG)

Mar’12 macaron(left); Salted Caramel macaron(right)

Last purchase was during Oct’11.

It was of lemon flavoured with feuilletine centre.

This time round, we got two. One monthly flavour and one all-year-found offering.

I got  a shock when I received the bill, each large macaron is now SGD9.10 each compared to just about 6 mths ago SGD6.50!

Anyhow, it was a worthwhile treat.

I took the chance to snap a shot of the interior during a quiet before-dinner time.

The classic salted caramel macaron S$9.10

The coffee flavoured crispy shells complemented the indulging salty caramel.

The whole combination was so simple yet so decadent.

Mar’12 Macaron of the month – Duo de Charme (raspberry white chocolate ganache , with a heart of lemon cream and fresh raspberry / shell swirl red and yellow) S$9.10

The shells were a little gritty upon melting, nonetheless, a little crispy too.

I could taste the very tart lemon in the shell, and grittiness of the ground raspberry ganache, full of fresh fruity flavours.

I will leave the next large macaron purchase until I see a nut flavoured one :)

Meanwhile, probably, it’s ok to try out Paul’s large macaron SGD6.50…hmmm…

wow! they look massive! the Duo de Charme looks kinda interesting with two-tone shells. But SGD9.10 for a pop is like….. LOL Can probably try to reconstruct them :)

Do they change their macaron flavours frequently?

    Hey Alan,

Yes, the obscene price of SGD9.10 is even more expensive than the large good macaron in Paris. Hediard Singapore features monthly macaron, i.e. every month, there’s a specialty flavour featured. The perpetual two flavours offered are chocolate and salted caramel :)
