Full Steam (SG)

starter selection

A healthy and relatively affordable lunch option in CBD not an easy feat, if you take out the food court option.

This following extracted from the website.
Originating in France under the brand A Toutes Vapeurs, where it has been awarded Golden Palm in 2004 and International Silver Palm Palm in 2007 by the Leaders Club, a F&B syndicate, Full Steam is the answer to the customers who want balanced and healthy meals with taste, quality and variety. In the words of its founder Robert Petit: “Our aim is to offer a modern type of dining where you can eat well and be well.”

So at the entrance, you could order either set meal of the day priced at S$12( for 3 items) or any a-la-carte  item you see on the encased shelves.

Set menu of the day S$12nett – Dory Couscous with broccoli soup and a cuppa (see below)

Portion was medium, and taste was good.

You will feel satisfied without any heaviness after a typical French-inspired butter and/or cream laden meal.

Duck breast gnocchi S$12

I love gnocchi, and I was curious how this dish would come together.

It turned out alright, the sweet pepper did add a lot of flavours to the dish.

There is a range of herb infused oil at the counter, which I made use of with the help of the service staff around to perfume my dish further as I found this particular combination was a little lacking in taste.

I added S$4.50 to upgrade my main course above to a set meal including this dessert – Chestnut Fondant and a cuppa

I was surprised to see a sponge cake at the bottom, was expecting a tart base.

It turned out well, good chestnut flavour.

Cappuccino that’s included in the set meal – so good and value for money!

I wouldn’t have thought to be served a good coffee as such, this was really worth ordering during an upgrade to a set meal!

An airy yet cosy restaurant next to Sushi Tei.

The pricing is nett, and service was good.
