Happy Long Weekend!
Finally, another aptly fitted public holiday befalling on us tomorrow, feel so good already as I’m typing this!
This sweet pastry entry might give you some soothing to your sweet tooth over the weekend.
And this is my very first attempt at Rive Gauche Patisserie (meaning Left Bank, referring to La Seine in Paris mostly likely).
Under the umbrella company of Pokka Food corporation, it’s worthwhile to get their annual membership card at S$20 where you get S$20 back in voucher, as well as having 10% off regular items / meals at their restaurants. 20% off during birthday month!
This is not advertorial by them, thought the card is really worth getting and so I have to share :).
Well, the ratio of the cake to red bean filled fresh cream is bigger, which is my favourite!
The cake itself was soft and exudes a soothing yet not over-powering jasmine scent.
This hazelnut based chocolate mousse cake is decent.
You will find a crunchy bottom layer of ground hazelnut . Mousse itself inclined towards gelatinous texture (personally favour against airy mousse texture), yet not cloying.
For me, as a Pokka card holder, I get to use it very soon in Nov to get 20% off their items.
Can’t wait to try on more of their sweet offerings.
