Malaysia Food Street revisited (SG)

Continued from our first visit which we only tried two dishes, this time round my parents were around to help us out trying more varieties.

Satay at SGD0.60 each

Satay at SGD0.60 each

I did not have high hope on these satay initially thinking it will be a rip off.

And the less fat chunky meat was tenderised by the good tasting marinade proved me wrong, permeated with quite some smoky taste too.

Penang Char Keow Tiao SGD5

Penang Char Keow Tiao SGD5

This stall has one of the longest queue after KL Hokkien Mee stall.

I had to find out how the Penang CKT fare in this ‘food street’.

The thinner rice noodles were a little disappointing in authenticity, as broad chewy rice noodles were used in the original version. Taste wise, not bad at all, I could taste the smokiness (wok hei) amongst the thin noodles.

Large Chicken Claypot Rice with Salted Fish SGD15 (Small portion is SGD9)

Large Chicken Claypot Rice with Salted Fish SGD15 (Small portion is SGD9)

This is our second attempt on the very savoury salted fish chicken claypot rice.

Still as good, and great for 3 – 4 pax at 15 dollars!

KL Hokkien Mee (from the 1st visit entry) SGD6

KL Hokkien Mee (from the 1st visit entry) SGD6

Cendol (from 1st visit entry) SGD2.50

Cendol (from 1st visit entry) SGD2.50

If I’m in Resorts World Sentosa, I do not mind to pop by here just for this cendol.

Oh by the way, this entry uses Nikon D600.
