Putien (SG)

Homemade beancurd S$8.90++

Believe it or not, here was where we spent our Christmas meal of 2013.

Greeted with a skinny Santa Claus handing out sweets to us upon seated, pretty nice.

And so we indulged over four small dishes here.

A pity I couldn’t spend it with my whole family this time round – again :(.

This homemade beancurd was sikly smooth within, good take.

Stir Fried Yam (S) S$10.90++

The crispy exterior and intense yam flavour within and mushy was addictive for a carb junkie.

Suggest it if you have a group of 3 and more or skip the rice if you are having this.

Spinach in salted egg and centruy egg broth – so savoury! S$12.90++

The tender spinach swimming within the flavourful stock accented with salted egg yolk and pungent century egg yolk bits – my favourite.

Must-order – Putien Lor Mee, tasty broth, al dented noodles. S$7.90++

If you are here for lunch, a bowl of this delicious stock with noodle will satisfy you.

Even though it’s called Lor Mee –  it certainly doesn’t look like  the usual starchy black Lor Mee in Singapore.

Overall, I’m pretty impressed with the tasty home cook dishes at Putien, this was my first trip and I believe more to come.

This restaurant could easily be one of the restaurants during the CNY feast in 2014.
